I’m 33, and I was raped in February of 2016. Trying to cope and heal. I never thought this would happen to me, but then again, who does?
The road to recovery is not easy.
While I created this blog to have a place to put my thoughts, feelings, and research; the main reason why I created it is for support for other survivors of rape and sexual assault. I also created it to hopefully spread awareness.
I wanted to create a place where people can come, read stories, read articles, get advice, and help to cope with what they are going through.

I was raped over a period of 3 months when I was 8, my mother only found out because my sister said something about me screaming in my sleep. I was put on the stand at 8 no preparation just called up, I don’t remember much except I kept fidgeting with a string on my shirt because I refused to wear dresses and then he sighed and I peed my pants. I knew he went right back to work at the ice cream store his family owned. Then I buried everything so deep no one could get me to even recall it. 9 years later I went to an OB because I had always have problems and the doctor told me to put my feet in the stirups and I freaked full ptsd attack. I couldn’t fuction for a week, I buried it for 9 YEARS you are working on it in the same year, I have to do hypnosis to recall some things and to stay calm. You are amazing. All of us SURVIVED being abused we are SURVIVORS. WAY better than that TV show “Survivor” too!

Hello- I have a site that supports rape and abuse survivors. I am making a post that lists blogs about survivors who are willing to provide support to others. Would you mind if I included you on there? It’s just a place for people to look for similar people to talk to.

Do you know the meaning of victim?
I am a survivor of incest who was a child victim of sex crimes.
Those who perpetrate such crimes would love to make it a victim less crime.
How does this help victims of sex crimes?

Simple Definition of victim
: a person who has been attacked, injured, robbed, or killed by someone else
: a person who is cheated or fooled by someone else
: someone or something that is harmed by an unpleasant event (such as an illness or accident)
I guess my point on why I call my blog this is because even though I will be scared by this for the rest of my life, I don’t want it to define me. I will somehow find a way to survive and thrive again.
I was molested by an uncle as a child, I have overcome that to the best of my ability, and in situation I no longer feel like a victim.
I believe that you are right, survivor or not, we are all victims, but society believes victims are weak, and so do those who rape. I want to raise awareness, create hope for others and myself, and maybe help some people to try and take a stand.
Just even talking about this matter gets people thinking and raises awareness.

The societies we live in these days are losing their stability. We as humans are losing our values. That is something none of us can deny. Those who go through the pain of being a victim, as mostly seen, are the ones who often have to offer sacrifices. But if we see through the whole thing, these (such victims) are the people who’ve at least learnt not to bring pain to others as they have themselves felt how bad that is. Some of them are raising voices against the bad, some are busy protecting others from the evils they were afflicted with, some are helping others in standing up after they had fallen. So, if we analyze, these people apart from all the bad that they had to suffer from, have also learnt certain things others don’t have. I’m glad to see how you’re keeping yourself busy with helping others cz the one who tries to stand up again after falling hard is not a loser, but the one who falls hard and never even tries to stand up.
