I was raped in February by my former roommate. He started a new job at the Department of Children and Families (DCF) two days after he raped me. So yes, he clearly passed the background check.
My restraining order has recently been extended for two years (the judge hardly batted an eye while granting it) and amended the order to keep the rapist away from my place of employment.
I told the detective that the rapist worked for DCF. Additionally, I recently had a meeting with the DA’s office. I spoke with an ADA about a lot of things, including how my rapist was never questioned or asked to give a statement when I filed a police report. I also told the ADA that the rapist works for DCF. The ADA did not appear concerned at all. This is appalling and frightening to me. This rapist, this despicable excuse for a person, works for an agency that deals with a vulnerable population. He has direct access to the vulnerable population and their personal information. They are NOT SAFE with him being an emphasis of DCF. Apparently, the state of Massachusetts, Suffolk County DA Office and Boston Police Department doesn’t seem to care.
Thank you so much! 💕 That helps a lot. I really need to start posting again, but it’s been really hard lately 😕. Your words mean a lot to me 😊

Hey.
I’ve been following your blog since… nearly the beginning of your trauma. You may not feel it, but you have come a long way. I’m very proud of you. Some days… will be shit of course. Some will be good.
What happened to you was awful and I hope you know you’re not alone. All I can say from the other side of the internet is to be brave and strong. We’re healing, coping… doing this together. ❤
