About Me

Suffering

By: A Survivor Not a Victim
March 16, 2016

I was raped in February of 2016 when I was 32 years old. I never thought this would happen to me, but then again, who does?

The road to recovery takes work; coping and healing from this ordeal has been a relentless uphill battle.

I’ve created this blog as a space to share my thoughts, emotions, and research, with a primary focus on supporting survivors of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence and spreading awareness. My aim is to provide a refuge where readers can find stories, articles, advice, and coping strategies, knowing they are not alone in their struggles.

  1. Hi,
I’m trying to do something very similar but I’ve taken a whole different direction. We all know Sex sells and we all know so many people believe women who are beautiful, sexy, and dress a certain type of way “asked for it”. It is my hope to use this same type of thinking to get my message and point across. I hope you will follow me and provide feedback as a take a very powerful yet some will say contraversial approach to bring awareness and free myself from the bondage I once found myself in as a result of my sexual assault. I am a Wounded Warrior and Survivor. Let’s tell our stories, my sisters!
Please follow me and let me know your thoughts…my project has just begun but things will start going up in the next week or so.
