This is great! Education regarding rape is all about “Things that you can do to prevent yourself from being raped.”
This is terrible because it shows that society accepts rape. It re-enforces “victim blaming” when the fact of the matter is, getting raped is not a result of something that you did wrong. Ever! Period. It is a result of a terrible person who enjoys taking power away from others.
I saw this post on Twitter. It drives home the point that we need to change how we educate people about rape and that the issue is with the rapists, not the victims and survivors.
